The journey

I like to live my life as an eternal apprentice, looking at things as if it were the first time. Things are incredibly complex, it doesn’t matter how simple they may look. When you start looking not only for the things themselves, but also the relationship between them, the world becomes even more amazing. There is always something new to be discovered.

This way, I think of myself as one of the great conquerors of the past: Alexander the Great, Christopher Columbus, Charlemagne. Instead of conquering territory, my goal is to conquest understanding, knowledge….perhaps wisdom one day. Mahatma Gandhi once said:

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

I don’t acquire knowledge for the sake of having a lot stored out one day, net to the end. I just truly feel joy in discovering new things everyday, the beauty of learning,  finding joy in this journey of mine.
